Finance is pervasive and important. Non-finance professionals often need a grasp of the basics to do their jobs better and move up the career ladder.
|
For those pursuing the CFA® ,the CFA® level 1 exam can be tough, especially for students without qualifications and/or experience in the basics e.g. financial accounting and quantitative methods. The Live Lecture Series assumes certain basic knowledge of finance, investments and accounting. These students may not be able to keep up with the rest of the students in the Live Lecture Series class. To do that, they may have to work twice as hard. And even that may not guarantee success in the exam.

The Fundamentals Training Program (FTP) is precisely designed to cater for such students. For CFA® level 1 students, completion of the FTP allows a smooth transition to our Live Lecture Series.

The FTP covers two subjects that together make up a significant portion of the CFA® Level 1 curriculum (33%) which are typically found to be the most challenging to students with little or no finance background. The subjects covered are:

The FTP only runs at specific times during the year. The idea is that a candidate should first complete the FTP and then start the Live Lecture Series. A candidate can complete the FTP in 1-2 weeks.

| Once the student completes the FTP, the LLS is so much easier as the same concepts are explored at a more advanced level and in more detail in the LLS. The student is more comfortable with the basics. It all goes to increase the likelihood of success in the CFA® Level 1 exam. |
