How long has Schweser been in business?
|

Kaplan Schweser was founded by Dr. Carl Schweser in 1991, while he was a professor in the college of business at the University of Iowa. Prior to that time, Carl had taught in CFA®® programs in North America for a number of years.

Who are the people behind Kaplan Schweser?

Kaplan Schweser has a full time staff of five Ph.D.s who are assisted by several more faculty under contract who conduct seminars and assist us in the preparation of training and study materials. In addition to Ph.D.s, virtually all Schweser instructors have CFA®® designations. Schweser people understand what it takes to prepare for the CFA®® exam and how to pass it. Kaplan Schweser's registration system is case sensitive so please capitalize letters where appropriate and eliminate spaces. Sometimes a space is captured when cutting and pasting so try typing the username and password.

How do I use my Online Access?
|
|
Once payment is received, a username and password will be assigned to your account at www.schweser.com. This will be sent to the email address provided by you. If you previously created an account, please use your own username and password. If you do not know your username and password, please click http://www.schweser.com/account/recover_password.php. In order to use your Online Access, please login to www.schweser.com and click on the Level-color button found under the heading "Online access" in the center-right of your screen. Your online products will be listed in the left-hand menu and will become available throughout the CFA® season.

Why can't I reuse last year's SchweserNotes™?
|
|
Every summer, the CFA®I announces its new curriculum. The CFA®I adds new readings, drops old readings and alters many of the learning outcomes associated with old readings. This requires a complete rewrite of the previous year's SchweserNotes. Kaplan Schweser also writes new sample exams to reflect the changes in the study guide. Because of these changes, previous editions of the Kaplan SchweserNotes are not the best source of study materials. LOS revisions and additions, new readings, and the elimination of readings make relying exclusively on past year's products for the current year's exam problematic.
